Therapy Treats.
If you are in pain anywhere in the body, physical therapy can likely help. Our therapists treat back and shoulder pain, concussions, carpal tunnel, Parkinson’s disease, sprains and tears, and patients recovering from ACL surgery. Treatment usually combines therapeutic stretches and strengthening exercises, and sessions may also include massage therapy, heat and cold therapy, or electronic muscle stimulation. Rest has its place after an injury, but going straight from rest back to normal activity tends to set people back. The body has to be rebuilt deliberately.
Tailored to Severity
Your plan depends on what you are recovering from. A therapist will assess your injury, your range of motion, and your goals, then build a program around them. Most patients see gains in range of motion, balance, joint and muscle strength, and pain levels, and many avoid surgery altogether.
The First Visit
Your first visit starts with an evaluation so we understand the injury and how it is limiting you. From there we build your plan and teach you how to perform each exercise correctly, including the ones you will continue at home. You will also learn how to prevent the injury from recurring.
